Regina Geocachers GSAK & OSM Event on Global News

The Geocaching Swiss Army Knife & Open Street Map seminar hosted by Ryan Goolevitch & Adam Baxter at the Regina Public Library was featured in a short segment of Global Regina Evening News on Saturday November 24th, 2012. Thanks to all who attended the event and vbpad for the great GSAK information! I even learned some things! Tune into Global Regina news at 6:00PM tonight to see their spot on the event! I don't get it on Bell, anyone here have the means to record it to a computer? vbpad and Nezgar will add reference material to the cache page in the next few days. On Saturday, November 24th, come inside from the cold to join fellow geocachers Nezgar & vbpad, learn some of the latest tips and tricks with GSAK using additional macros and the Geocaching.com API, and the benefits of Open Street Map (now the default mapping service for Geocaching.com) and how to contribute to it.

Caching for Kidneys Fundraiser - Sunday April 15, 2012

A fellow geocacher in the Melfort, SK area is hosting a fundraider for the Kidney Foundation. Geocachers of all ages will have fun finding cool geocaches all while contributing to kidney health and initiatives in Saskatchewan. Participants will spend a couple hours seeking out caches hidden close to the event location.

South Saskatchewan Christmas Potluck Party 2011

Join fellow Regina and South Saskatchewan Geocachers on December 3, 2011 at the Girl Guide Basement starting at 5:00PM for a delicious Potluck supper and a fantastic opportunity to meet or catch up with other cachers.

Olemaz and Nezgar were interviewed by Peter Mills for CBC TV about Geocaching and the segment was aired on the Oct 26, 2011 news at 5. It was fun to do, and they did a great job putting it all together. We thank them for the opportunity to promote the activity, and would be happy to do it again any time!

Dunlop Art Gallery Sidewalk Geocaching Adventure

From October 20 to November 10, 2011 the Dunlop Art Gallery has taken to the streets of Regina and placed temporary caches throughout the downtown area and the Gallery itself to promote the gallery with small tokens or art objects for trade.

Saskatchewan Parks Geocaching Officially Announced

The Sask Parks website now officially has a page describing their geocaching initiative to celebrate the 80th anniversary of provincial parks in this province.
