This event hosted by navyguider has been published for Sunday September 15, 2013. Summer is almost gone so lets have one more barbecue just because we can. Autumn officially starts one week from this date and we need to celebrate a great summer of caching. With the 31 days of geocaching, there has been a number of great caches and events that we have all participated in. We all have stories to tell of our adventures, be it that one really neat cache we found, the great event that we attended, meeting up with cachers on the trail or just the overall fun we have had out on the hunt.
Big news for everyone in Saskatchewan, the event that the planning committee has been beginning to organize has now been published on geocaching.com. It happenned a lot earlier than the planning comittee was expecting, but It's now official, and you can now post your 'will attend' log! Mark your calendars for Saturday, Jul/19/2014. Satellite events are also being planned for the days before and after.
The Geocaching Swiss Army Knife & Open Street Map seminar hosted by Ryan Goolevitch & Adam Baxter at the Regina Public Library was featured in a short segment of Global Regina Evening News on Saturday November 24th, 2012.
Thanks to all who attended the event and vbpad for the great GSAK information! I even learned some things! Tune into Global Regina news at 6:00PM tonight to see their spot on the event! I don't get it on Bell, anyone here have the means to record it to a computer? vbpad and Nezgar will add reference material to the cache page in the next few days. See you at the Christmas event next week!
When: 12/12/12@12:12:12 Central Standard Time (Lunch Time!)
Where: Southland Mall Food Court Time (Lunch Time!)
Why: What better way to contemplate the upcoming end of the world and the last date singularity of the Gregorian calendar for 89 years than over lunch and hot drinks with fellow geocachers?
(and also so Nezgar doesn't have to go outside to find a cache that day!)
This event is open to all geocachers. Pop by, say hi, discover some trackables, and maybe even win a door prize!
The 4th annual south Saskatchewan geocaching Christmas party is going to be on Saturday, December 1st, 2012! Hosted by JoSask and SylvanSleuth, it will be held from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at the Girl Guide Building at 1530 Broadway Ave. There will be a gift exchange, games, prizes and more!
